Through my journey as a model and beauty queen, I have experienced the broad spectrum of Jamaicans living in other parts of the world-often in lesser known regions of the worlds such as South East Asia. With my platform I wanted to show the subculture of Jamaicans living in America, specifically Los Angeles.
Being Jamaican or Jamaican-American in Los Angeles often times gets muddled up with the Hollywood stereotype of Caribbean culture, people of color and those of mixed ethnicity. During my reign and prelims into competition I let the cameras in on my personal and professional life to document what it is like to live Jamerican in Hollywood.
